Juliana Huxtable returns to BASEMENT following her all-night set in July. One of the great visionaries of modern club music, Huxtable uses the form as a site of peerless worldbuilding and relentless experimentation. Huxtable’s history in the fine arts - as a poet, visual artist and performer - informs her approach, subverting the typical templates and finding ever new ways to freak the system. The founder of the Selectors party series and Chapter Records, Kunst has dedicated herself for over two decades to timeless techno. Her releases - on her own label as well as WSNWG and Rekids - embodies the pure, direct power of the genre, with her own particular twist. Colombian-born, NY-based Vile returns. An artist whose work pushes boundaries, Vile embraces a cutting edge futurism and raw, uncanny strangeness.
