Tiers, presales, sale times and the waitlist
Each tier has a price, a quantity, and a Per order limit — six unless you change it. You add and edit tiers on the event page under Edit event; Duplicate copies one and sets the copy to open when the original sells out.
A new price only applies to future buyers. Everybody who already paid keeps what they paid.
When a tier goes on sale
On sale from and Sales end set a window for that tier, in the venue's local time. Leave them blank and it's on sale now until the event ends.
Or when the tier above sells out opens it as soon as the previous one is gone — the usual way to run early-bird pricing. With a date as well, it opens at whichever comes first. Order matters, so drag tiers into the order they should open.
Before it opens, you choose whether buyers see it greyed out with its dates, greyed out without them, or not at all. There is no countdown; buyers see the date it opens.
Presale passwords
Turn on Presale password on a tier and set one. Buyers see that some tickets are locked and type the password on the event page to see and buy them. Capitals don't matter.
You can't see a password once it's set — type a new one to change it. Duplicating a tier doesn't copy its password.
Presale passwords are set on a tier after the event is created, not in the create steps.
The waitlist
Waitlist when sold out is on by default. Once every ticket is gone, fans can join a line, and a ticket that comes back — from a refund, say — is held for the next person for 15 minutes before anybody else can buy it.
When you add tickets to a sold-out event with people waiting, you're asked where they go: Offer to the waitlist first, or Put straight on sale, in which case everybody waiting gets one email saying more are on sale.
The waitlist runs until the event ends, the same as ticket sales, so tickets that come back during the show are still held for the line.
Private events
Private event, under Edit event → Edit details, keeps the event out of browse, search and the sitemap. Anybody with the link can still see it and buy.
