KOLA vs FIXR
Looking for a FIXR alternative?
Both sell tickets for club nights. On KOLA, sales go straight into your own Stripe account, a returned ticket goes to the next fan on the waitlist, and your door runs in any phone's browser.
Fees
A £30 ticket costs fans £32.18 on KOLA, and more on FIXR.
KOLA
- Service fee
- 5%
- Card processing
- At cost: 1.5% + 20p in the UK
- A £30 ticket, all in
- £32.18
FIXR · Pro plan

- Card processing
- A transaction fee of £0.25–£2.19 per order
- A £30 ticket, all in

On KOLA the fan pays the fee and card processing at checkout, shown before they pay as Taxes & fees, with each amount a tap away, so neither comes out of your ticket price. No setup or monthly cost to you. Totals are before any sales tax.
FIXR's booking fee and transaction fee are paid by the buyer, and you can choose to absorb the booking fee. Its total includes the VAT on its fees; the transaction fee goes up with the size of the order.
Side by side
What changes for you.
- Your money
- KOLACharged into your own Stripe account, not KOLA's. Paid out when you ask, once it clears; by default from five days after the event, which keeps refunds funded.
- FIXRFIXR collects ticket money for you as your agent and pays out 3–5 business days after the event ends. It can hold back a share of face value as a reserve, at its discretion.
- Your buyers
- KOLAExport buyers' names and emails to CSV. Email everyone who bought from you in the last 24 months, or send them to Klaviyo.
- FIXRName, email, phone and date of birth, for running the event, with an export. Marketing goes only to buyers who consented, through FIXR's Message Centre.
- The door
- KOLAAny phone, in the browser. No app to install, no hardware.
- FIXRThe FIXR Entry Manager app, on iOS or Android.
- Transfers
- KOLASent to a friend by email, up until the event ends. The friend accepts, even without a KOLA account yet, and the sender's code dies the moment it's sent.
- FIXRBy a link the friend claims, up to three times per ticket and until about an hour before the start, if you allow them.
- Waitlist
- KOLAOn by default. A returned ticket is held for the next fan in line for 15 minutes, at your price, matched to how many they asked for.
- FIXRA list for before tickets go on sale, told when they do. None for sold-out events is listed in its help centre.
Can I sell in pounds?
Yes. Organizers can be paid in the UK in pounds, and fans pay card processing at the UK rate, 1.5% + 20p, at checkout.
Do my door staff need an app?
No. KOLA's scanner runs in any phone's browser, with nothing to install.
Switching from FIXR?
Two minutes to sign up, and you can start on your first event straight away.
