Ticket tiers and presales

Ticket tiers that open when the one before sells out.

Every tier the night needs, each with its own price, quantity and sales window. The next one opens on a date, or the moment the one above sells out.

How it works

  • Each tier has its own price, quantity, per-order limit and sales window, set in the venue's local time.
  • “Or when the tier above sells out” opens the next tier the moment the last one goes. With a date as well, it opens at whichever comes first.
  • Before a tier opens, show it greyed out with its sale dates, greyed out as “Coming soon”, or not at all.
  • Lock any tier behind a presale password. Capitals don't matter, and the password can't be read from the page.
  • Never oversold: if two people pay for the last ticket at once, the second is refunded automatically.

Set it once, and it runs itself

Give each tier a start, an end, or tell it to open when the tier above sells out. Before it opens, show it greyed out with its dates, as “Coming soon”, or not at all.

Questions

Good to know.

Anything else, the guides have it.

What if a tier's sales end before it sells out?

It closes, and the next tier opens on its own date. “Or when the tier above sells out” only opens it on a sell-out.

Can I change a price once tickets have sold?

Yes, for future buyers. Everybody who already paid keeps what they paid.

Can fans see how many are left?

No. They see whether a tier is on sale, coming soon or sold out, never the count.

Can I copy a tier for the next price?

Yes. Duplicate sets the copy to open when the original sells out. Its presale password isn't copied.
